Description

MIC-500™ MOBILE INSULATION SYSTEM FOR CELLULOSE MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

 PRODUCT
Spray applied cellulose fiber insulation in combination with a viscous,
water reducible, clear adhesive to achieve a closed cavity.
Relatively heavy textured thermal and acoustic material typically installed
from ¾” to 6” (1.9cm to 15.2cm), depending on the project requirements.
The fiber is produced from high quality recycled paper from various sources,
which may vary slightly in color. Care must be exercised to ensure a uniform
mixture of material.
COLOR
Standard color is beige. Multiple colors available.
THERMAL RATING
Resistance Factor of 4.6 per inch of application (R value is F0.hr.ft2/Btu).
THERMAL BARRIER
Flame retardant insulation has a Class 1, Class A flame spread rating per
ASTM E-84, UL-723, NFPA-255 and UBC-42. Underwriter’s Laboratories
reference number # R5499.
TYPICAL INGREDIENTS
Cellulose- recycled paper and cardboard, flame retardant additives, multiple
colors, component adhesive, boric acid treated for pest and rodent control.
Adhesive Binder- Concentrated, viscous, water reducible, clear, component
adhesive comprised of Vinyl Acetate, Ethylene Copolymer, Methanol Alcohol
(contains not carcinogens). Used in different mixture ratios for standard
(up to 7.5 cm) and high build(7-15 cm) insulation applications..

MIC-550™ MOBILE SURFACE SEAL FOR CELLULOSE MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

PRODUCT
Durable water based surface seal coating designed to be spray applied over
cellulose insulation or a fifi brous, porous surface.
NRC rating shall be .55 or greater per ASTM C-423 when applied over 1.75”
(4.5cm) of cellulose spray-on insulation.
Abrasion resistant, paintable.
Applied in a heavy or light coat between 1/16- 1/8 inches thick (2-4 mm
thick).
THERMAL BARRIER
Protective Coating shall have a Class 1 rating and a flame spread rating not
to exceed 5 when tested in accordance with ASTM E-84
COLOR
Standard color is white to off-white. Multiple colors available.
TYPICAL INGREDIENTS
Water, Calcium Carbonate, Vinyl Acrylic, Cellulose Fibers, Methocel, Boric
Acid, Defoamer, Titanium Dioxide, Bentonite.

MIC-660™ MOBILE INSULATION SYSTEM FOR URETHANE MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

PRODUCT
Polymer based, plural component, closed cell, rigid foam insulation system.
2 lbs core density (2 lbs per cubic foot, 32 kg per cubic meter).
Spray applied with a ratio of 1:1 by volume using the H20/35 variable
pressure-proportioning unit.
COLOR
Standard color is yellow. Multiple colors available.
THERMAL RATING
Resistance Factor of 7 per inch of application (R value is F0.hr.ft2/Btu).
COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH
28 lbs per in2 (19687kg m2).
WATER RESISTANCE
AATCC 127-1995 Suter Hydrostatic Pressure resistance test, no failure.
AIR LEAKAGE
ASTM E 285-91, 0.0 cubic feet per minute/ft2.
WEIGHT
Component A-Activator 10.3 lbs per gallon (1.24kg per liter).
Component R-Resin 9.7 lbs per gallon (1.16kg per liter).
THERMAL BARRIER
Requires a 15-minute thermal barrier apllied over top in occupied spaces.
Polyurethane is not to exceed a flame spread rating of 20 in accordance
with ASTM E-84.
DISCLAIMER
A fresh air hood system is required to prevent dangerous inhalation health
issues.

MIC-800™ MOBILE FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR URETHANE MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

PRODUCT
Cementitious fire protective coating specififi cally formulated for application
over rigid urethane and polystyrene foam plastics. Forms a hard, durable
acoustic surface that provides a monolithic thermal barrier against heat and fire.
COLOR
Standard color is gray. Dries off-white. No other colors available paintable.
THERMAL BARRIER
Complies as a thermal barrier under Uniform Building Code 1997.
Mixed directly with water and typically spray applied from ½” to ¾”
(1.2cm to 1.9cm) to provide a 15-minute thermal barrier over foam
insulation.
ASTM E 119 has a 15-minute thermal rating applied at ¾” or 1.9cm. ASTM
E 84 has a flame spread rating of 10 applied at ½” or 1.2cm. Underwriter’s
Laboratories approved in accordance with UL 1715 Room Fire Test.
TYPICAL INGREDIENTS
